Join the Fun
As a cricket club we are aiming to provide a place in Wellington where cricketers of all ages and abilities can meet to have fun playing cricket.
Part of the culture of Collegians is to enjoy the cricket on the field and the comradeship off it. The club maintains the right balance between the discipline needed on the field to win championships and the fun-loving atmosphere we foster in the Club rooms.
So if you are a current player, thinking about playing or want to be a supporter at a friendly cricket club, come and join us, you will be very welcome. And check this site regularly to find out what is happening in the club and with our players.

Did you know....
Many of you will have seen the play or Television film “Tangiwai” which tells the effect this tragedy had on the life of Bob Blair who was touring South Africa with the New Zealand Cricket Team at that time. The Collegians Club made its own small contribution to the film by providing the nets of the type used then. Just goes to show, you shouldn’t throw anything away.

Weekly newsbreak
Papps Pumps Norths
There were a number of outstanding performances at the weekend which saw all our two day teams well placed at the end of the first days play. None was more outstanding than Michael Papps 198 - which completely dominated the Collegians reply after a somewhat shaky start, but was run out on the last ball of the day trying to get his double ton. Scott Kuggeleijn reminded us that he used to be an opening bat before he discovered he could bowl at express pace and scored an admiral 65 while AJ Royfee again showed that he is slotting into senior cricket with a useful 37. On the bowling front Ili Tugaga has bowled well all season without really getting amongst the wickets. However this week he finally got his due rewards taking 5 for 23. Jules and Scott sharing the other 5.
The senior Reserves dismissed University for 207 with CJ Berry taking 4-51 and Nathan Brown 3-58. In reply Ajay Chouhan continued his fine form this season with 110 while Daniel Swindells finished his time with Collegians with 71.
Not to be outdone the Senior thirds scored 9 for 262 declared, led by former senior captain Damien Grant with 72 while AJ Gharal smacked 36 not out. Fresh from Wellington College Tobias Weavers who showed great promise in last weeks game went a step further with a spectacular destruction of Te Aroha, taking 6 -26 as they crumbled for 71. Following on, Te Aroha are 1-51.
